Saturday, April 20, McCormick's Creek State Park. Carpooling has been scheduled to save gas and to use any available park passes. Bloomington carpooling people: meet at 8:30 a.m. in the the parking lot of Marsh North, at the corner of Rte. 46 and Kinser Pike. Ellettsville carpooling people: meet at 8:45 a.m. in People's State Bank parking lot, at the traffic light at Rte. 46. and Hartstrait Rd. Those not carpooling: meet at the Nature Center at 9:00 a.m. Rain date will be Sunday, April 21, with the same times. Hi Macro Group,
Hope most of you are planning to come to the outing at McCormick's Creek State Park on April 20. There has been a slight change in the plans. Linda Harl has let me know that there will be a Spencer YMCA run that morning, starting at 8:30 at the Nature Center. The parking lot may be a little crowded, so let's meet at the Deer Run Shelter at 9:00. Head for the Nature Center, after the last bridge, turn right where the sign directs you to the Deer Run Shelter. It is at the back end of that road, as the start of Trail 9. You can get a map at the front entrance to the park.
Plus, if you are not familiar with the park, the Canyon Inn has a restraunt for lunch, or you can pack a lunch and have a picnic.
