Hi, BPC members!
I wanted to let everyone know that the next Street Photography focus group meeting will be Thursday, May 23. We will meet from 7:00-9:00pm at the Bloomington Police Department, 220 E. Third Street, Bloomington.
When you arrive, just come to the main entrance on Third Street and someone from the focus group will be there to let you in and direct you to the meeting room.
Parking is available on Lincoln street in front of the Boys & Girls Club and in front of Rebecca and Me Boutique (333 S. Lincoln St.). The lots adjoining the BPD building are reserved for city and police vehicles.
The theme of the May photo share will be Street Photography in small towns. This challenge involves making your street photography images in any town smaller than Bloomington. This is an easy challenge to participate in as there are at least six towns smaller than Bloomington located in Monroe County or nearby (Ellettsville, Stinesville, Hindustan, Unionville,Smithville, Oolitic, Solsberry, Bloomfield, Nashville, Bean Blossom, Spencer, etc.)
The Street Photography focus group would like to extend an invitation to all BPC members to join us. Our meetings typically consist of discussion of street photography techniques and philosophy, street photography instructional video sharing, and group member photoshares. Feel free to bring 5-10 images of your street photography work to share with the group, either via digital projection or in print form.
Digital and film-based images in all formats (APS-C, 35mm, 24x65mm, 120, 220, etc.) are welcome, and we encourage both black-and-white and color work.
